DJ and producer KSHMR made his name as one-half of the production duo The Cataracs, then emerged as a solo EDM star whose music nods to his Indian roots. • KSHMR was born Niles Hollowell-Dhar in Berkeley, California. In 2003, he formed the production duo The Cataracs with David Singer-Vine. Both were sophomores at Berkeley High School. • The Cataracs teamed up with the hip-hop group Far East Movement and the singer Dev for the 2010 smash “Like A G6,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
