About John Splithoff

A singer/songwriter who splices together throwback soul, modern production, and a laid-back pop vibe, John Splithoff released his first EP in 2013 but began to gain momentum with the digital releases of 2016's "Sing to You" and 2017's "Show Me." A native of Chicago, Splithoff spent some time pursuing a musical career there before he headed to New York City. In 2013, The Move became his first EP. He pared down some of his rock influences and increased the electronic gloss on 2014's "What If She Wants You," a single that set the pace for what came later. In 2016 he sang on "Woke," a single by Saturn & Orygin, and released the sleek "Sing to You," followed in 2017 by "Show Me" featuring vocals by Madison Ryann Ward. Following the Armando Young collaboration "Stepping Stone" later that year, Splithoff returned in 2018 with the six-song Make It Happen EP. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
