Publisher Description
Blood Song is the first book the USA Today-bestselling urban fantasy Blood Singer series by bestselling author Cat Adams, featuring a human/vampire hybrid on the run from her enemies while trying to find the keys to her past.
Bodyguard Celia Graves has definitely accepted her share of weird assignments, both human and supernatural. But her newest job takes the cake. Guarding a Prince from terrorists and religious fundamentalists is hard enough, but it seems like the entire supernatural world is after this guy too. When she is betrayed by those she is employed to help, and everything goes horribly wrong, Celia wakes to find herself transformed.
Neither human nor vampire, Celia has become an Abomination—something that should not exist—and now both human and supernatural alike want her dead. With the help of a few loyal friends—a sexy mage, a powerful werewolf, and a psychic cop—Celia does her best to stay alive. On the run from her enemies, Celia must try to discover who is behind her transformation…before it's too late.

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
In this fast-paced urban fantasy, Adams (Magic's Design), the joint pseudonym for C.T. Adams and Cathy Clamp (the Sazi series), introduces readers to a new world full of treachery and action. Tough-as-nails bodyguard Celia Graves protects the rich and famous from ghosts, demons, and other supernatural entities. While guarding the prince of a tiny European country, Celia is caught in a vampire ambush that leaves her wounded and partially transformed. Now she has to figure out her new limits and powers, destroy her sire before he can control her, and put together the pieces of a larger plan in which she's just a pawn. The story line and setting will draw in readers from the start, but late revelations may have them paging backwards to pick up on clues, and some answers will just have to wait for the sequels.

Really enjoyed this book
'm trying to decide if this is a 3.5 stars or a 4 stars book. When I first started reading it, I was think Kim Harrison/Rachael Morgan rip-off. As I got further into the book, I kept thinking Kim Harrison/Rachel Morgan but in a good way.
Celia Graves is a wonderful character. The author/authors really brought her to life. Really enjoyed the secondary characters like Vicki and Bruno as well.
The plot was a bit hard to follow at times because there were so many characters but I enjoyed the story. I'm looking forward to the other books in the series. I hope they're as good as this one.
I highly recommend this book.
