About Daniel Bachman

Self-termed "psychedelic Appalachia" fingerstyle guitarist Daniel Bachman has been touring and recording since he was 17. He fell under the sway of banjo music, drone, and the American Primitive techniques pioneered by the likes of John Fahey and Robbie Basho, as well as Glenn Jones and fellow native Virginian Jack Rose. Bachman's earliest records were released as cassettes in 2010 under the moniker Sacred Harp. After collaborating with Ryley Walker and Ian G. McColm, Bachman signed to Tompkins Square and debuted there with the acclaimed Seven Pine (2012). He followed it with titles such as Jesus I'm a Sinner (2013), the Bathetic-issued Orange Co. Serenade (2014), and the Three Lobed releases River (2015) and Daniel Bachman (2016). ~ Thom Jurek
