How to Succeed When Everyone Expects You to Fail with Jonathan Beskin

How to Succeed When Everyone Expects You to Fail with Jonathan Beskin

How to Succeed When Everyone Expects You to Fail

    Take away:
Challenges early on, while difficult, can be the fire that forges your inner strength. If you believe in yourself and your abilities, you can exceed other's low expectations. Never let your humble beginnings limit your ambition. Turn adversity into advantage.

    Money Learnings:
Jonathan's childhood was challenging financially and he felt deprived compared to his wealthy peers. He didn't receive any substantive money education as a child and had to figure it out himself later through entrepreneurial trial and error. This gave him motivation to build his own success.

    Bio:
Serial entrepreneur Jonathan Beskin built his first company, a women’s lifestyle subscription box, from a pre-revenue idea to over $60 million in revenue in under five years. An investor in multiple private companies and startups, he has twice been featured in the prestigious Inc. 5000 list. Beskin is a digital advertising and e-commerce expert; he often speaks at conferences and academic institutions. He holds an MBA in finance from Florida Atlantic University.

    Highlights from this episode:
It's vital to keep pivoting in business - be flexible, and keep learning and adapting as things change. Nothing lasts forever.
When starting a business, do as much yourself initially to really understand it before bringing in others. This allows you to better evaluate outside help.
Having a healthy obsession, and always keeping your brain occupied on positive, beneficial activities can lead to an abundant life. Idle time can lead to negativity.
Don't make decisions based on what others think - trust your own judgment. Listen to yourself.
Be willing to put yourself out there and be vulnerable - you never know what opportunities it can create when you open up.
The choice is yours daily - take action or just consume. Turn off the TV and get to work on your dreams.

    Creating a Wealthy Life

    Take away:
Money is a tool that should enable you to live a fulfilling life, not be the sole focus. Having clarity on your ideal lifestyle, relationships, and experiences is crucial. Then determine the amount of money needed to support that vision. Don't get caught in the trap of chasing more money for money's sake. Instead, focus first on personal growth, self-worth, purpose, and making a positive difference. With financial education and mindset shifts, money can be managed effectively to serve your life goals rather than become an all-consuming end in itself. The key is balancing priorities - money matters but should not override health, family, purpose, and inner peace. Use money wisely to live well.

    Money Learnings:
Krisstina grew up in poverty, living in a trailer home and relying on food stamps and government assistance. Her parents were uneducated and fought constantly about money, often violently. As a child, Krisstina associated money with these traumatic fights and grew to fear it. She felt money was an unsafe topic that would lead to chaos and conflict if brought up. With no financial education or role models, Krisstina was scared of and avoided money matters for much of her early life. This led her to be financially illiterate and anxiously avoidant when it came to money and finance.

    Bio:
Krisstina Wise has made it her life's work to master money. She's a self-made millionaire with training and study under some of the business world's most sage and seasoned mentors. Her systems for wealth creation work - in both good and challenging times. After nearly losing her life in 2013 and spending almost one-half of a million dollars to recover, her mission is no to inspire others to build extraordinary wealth and optimal health. She is a best-selling author and international speaker. With never-ending enthusiasm for money and a passion for helping people build wealth, Krisstina Wise and her money school will change the way you spend and invest to ensure you build wealth and optimal health.

    Highlights from this episode:
Money is something many people struggle with due to lack of education, poor role models, and cultural assumptions. Understanding basic financial principles is key to building wealth.
Have clarity on what you want from life - your ideal lifestyle, relationships, experiences. Then determine how much money you need for that.
Take action - you can study and plan forever but you need to take action and get in the game to achieve results and learn. Adjust as you go.
Running a business requires financial intelligence. Learn how to read your financial statements and make profitability a priority.
Money is a tool that enables you to live the life you want. Focus on self-worth, purpose, and making a difference, not just making more money.

Unlock Your Impossible Life with Chris King

Unlock Your Impossible Life with Chris King

    Unlock Your Impossible Life

    Take away:
You have the power to renegotiate your existence and make the impossible reality by shifting your mindset and energy frequency.

    Money Learnings:
Chris grew up in a privileged neighborhood financially but had a difficult childhood due to family trauma and issues with his father. He emphasizes the need to change our relationship with money and offers practical tools for repairing and improving that relationship.

    Bio:
Chris M. King built a life on the pillars of his childhood: grief, rage, abuse, and addiction. Despite taking nine years to earn his associate’s degree and leaving his undergrad unfinished, he remarkably transformed into an NCAA hockey player within a year of learning to skate. With two failed marriages, one plagued by mental illness, he later forsook a lucrative career to become a poverty-stricken radio personality in Los Angeles.

Transitioning to marketing a hospital’s neuroscience institute without clinical expertise, Chris then shifted to a tech role, which ended in dismissal. Jobless, he spurned a secure future, opting for penniless homelessness as he ambitiously built a company from his car’s trunk—today, that very company prospers.

Unconventional as it may be, Chris’s journey defies norms. His secret? A resolute choice. Termed an “witch doctor,” “human tuning fork,” or “irritated Buddha,” Chris M. King, author of “Renegotiate Your Existence: Unlock Your Impossible Life,” facilitates transformative expeditions. He draws from spiritual psychology and learns from diverse luminaries like the Flow Research Collective, Dr. Andrew Huberman, and retired US Navy SEALs and US Army Special Forces.

Chris takes individuals and organizations beyond their perceived limits, enabling the realization of the seemingly impossible.

    Highlights from this episode:
Childhood experiences shape our beliefs and programming as adults. Taking responsibility for your life is the first step in changing your reality.
Your outer experiences reflect your inner state. Pay attention to patterns and what's being mirrored back to you.
Mindset matters. Shift from scarcity/lack to abundance thinking. Match your frequency to what you desire to attract it.
Live in possibility not limitations. Believe you can achieve the impossible then take action. There are no limits except those you impose.
Get clear on your life's purpose. Your gifts and talents are perfectly designed to fulfill it. Mislabeling them causes suffering.
Ready, fire, aim! Speed creates momentum. Take imperfect action, pivot, and refine. Waiting for perfect conditions gets you stuck.

    Money Learnings:
Graham Lutz learned early in life that money is a tool, not a measure of self-worth. He was taught the value of hard work, saving, and investing by his parents. This foundational understanding of money has shaped his approach to personal finance and wealth building.

    Bio:
Graham Lutz is a storyteller, educator, and advocate for mental health and neurodiversity. With a background in neuroscience bachelors from Georgia State University, current work towards a Master’s in Psychology at Harvard University, and a passion for all things wild and wonderful about the world, Graham weaves together narratives that challenge limiting beliefs and inspire personal growth. Whether through his writing, videos, or workshops, his mission is to help others rewrite their personal narratives, overcome their limiting beliefs, and unlock their full potential. Graham believes that by understanding our brains better, we can lead more fulfilling lives, create more compassionate communities, and solve the big problems facing humanity.

How to Overcome Yourself with Benjamin Owen

How to Overcome Yourself with Benjamin Owen

    How to Overcome Yourself

    Take away:
The concept of making growth decisions versus comfortable decisions is crucial in personal and professional development. Being willing to embrace discomfort and make choices that lead to growth, even in small increments, can lead to substantial progress over time.

    Money Learnings:
Benjamin Owen learned from his family that money was often associated with negativity, such as greed and hard work. There was a perception that one had to work hard to earn money and that wealth was equated with conflict and stress in the household. Despite the financial challenges, his family prioritized love and resourcefulness, creating a deep understanding of the value of love and family. As he grew older and entered the workforce, he recognized the need to redefine his relationship with money and shift from a mindset of hard work to understanding the principles of wealth and money creation. He also learned the importance of dissociating the idea that money has to be hard-earned and exploring the concept of creating wealth in other ways.

    Bio:
Benjamin Owen is a professional coach specializing in personal and professional transformation.

He’s the co-creator of the Awakened Man Project a powerful men’s only coaching group that helps high-performing men actualize their potential through learning from other men. He also created the ‘Fast Way To Fitness’ system in his twenties which helps hundreds of people transform their lives through transforming their bodies.

Ben is a Father of two girls, a fiancé to his partner Poppy, and a business owner.

He brings over 15+ years of experience and pragmatism to personal transformation, business creation, and long-term results-based coaching. Ben has loved working with professional athletes, barristers, CEO’s, and people who are hungry for change in their life and work.

    Highlights from this episode:
Living an abundant life comes from giving and being of service to others.
Balancing work and love is essential, as success in one area should not come at the expense of the other.
Reasonable goals and sustainable habits are key to long-term success and personal growth. Success often comes with a glamorous facade, but the reality behind it may involve significant costs and challenges.
Pain, uncertainty, and constant work are constants in life that should be embraced rather than avoided.
Achievable short-term goals can provide motivation and build momentum towards long-term success.
Self-sabotaging thoughts and behaviors can hinder progress and should be recognized and addressed.
