About P.O.S
A native of Minneapolis, the underground lyricist known as P.O.S. grew up a die-hard punk-rock fan before turning to hip-hop and forming Doomtree Records with a group of high-school friends. P.O.S.’s debut LP, IPECAC NEAT--released in 2003 through Doomtree and re-released nationally by Rhymesayers Entertainment a year later--earned accolades from fans and critics alike for its refreshingly original genre-bending sound and outraged, punk-inspired lyrical content. His 2006 follow-up, AUDITION, further raised P.O.S.'s profile as he collaborated with such varied artists as Slug of Atmosphere, Craig Finn of the Hold Steady, and Greg Attonito of the Bouncing Souls. In 2008, P.O.S. contributed to the Doomtree collective’s self-titled debut.
