About Waterparks

An energetic Texan trio with little regard for genre boundaries, Waterparks repeatedly topped the charts while updating the pop-punk formula for a new generation. ∙ Formed in 2011, Waterparks debuted with the EP Airplane Conversations, which was written before frontman Awsten Knight had filled out the rest of the group’s lineup. ∙ Cluster, the band’s 2016 breakthrough EP, was coproduced by Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden and featured bassist Mikey Way of My Chemical Romance. ∙ In 2016, Double Dare, their debut LP, reached No. 10 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart. ∙ At 2017’s Alternative Press Music Awards, Waterparks won Best Breakthrough Artist and earned nominations for Song of the Year (“Stupid for You”) and Album of the Year (Double Dare). ∙ Both 2018’s Entertainment and 2019’s FANDOM landed in the Top 5 of Billboard’s Independent Albums chart—the latter went all the way to No. 2.
