Join Travis and David each week as they discuss all things meat. Travis is a butcher with a strong background in slaughter and retail, as well as sausage and charcuterie production. David is a small-scale intensive farmer; he manages rotationally grazed livestock and butchers them for direct-to consumer-sale. He’s also worked in retail meats and as a chef. They’ve both worked alone on mobile slaughter units, and they both like Waylon Jennings.

Awesome podcast
I drive a lot for work and I always listen to podcast. It’s so hard to find a podcast that is informative and funny. My time is valuable like everyone else and I don’t want to listen to people that just ramble on. These guys share great content and joke at the same time. I’ve listened for three weeks now M-F and thoroughly enjoy it. Some of the intro and outro music is hilarious if you look up the songs on your own. I work in a completely un related field (pipeline welding) but I have butchered close to 100 Deer in the last 16 years or so. We now have a small farm and I just butchered a hog I raised. It’s so enjoyable to see and know where your meat comes from. I think the world would be a better place if everyone had to butcher a chicken they raised. Think of how much less food they would waste when they realize a life was taken for you to eat. Hopefully with some of this information and research on my end we can open a custom except shop someday in the near future. Keep up the great work guys! Give this podcast a try because I GUARANTEE you’ll laugh and learn something almost every episode.
Super informative and entertaining podcast
I would never have thought when I started listening to the this podcast about 6 months ago that I would “binge” listen to as many episodes as I have. It is fun, interesting, and really well put-together for what it is. Would be entertaining and informative for many even outside of the industry. Thank you Travis and the other for making this podcast!
