Christina's positive energy and plethora of #truthbombs will make you feel like you can tackle everything on your to-do list.

This week we're inspired to consider what we can do better in our businesses as we speak with Maria Pahuja, Founder of Vayas Consulting. Maria is an Operations Consultant with impressive experience creating organization out of start up chaos.
While operational management may not be the first priority on an entrepreneurs to-dos, we hear how it is essential for one's profitability, efficiency, and long term goals. Maria defines operational excellence, while reminding us that done is always better than perfect. Rather than becoming overwhelmed with strategy, we learn how to simplify, hold ourselves accountable, over communicate, and create a process we can stick with.
Additionally, we get the behind the scenes intel of what it was like to work for big name magazines as Maria sheds some light on her days in Public Relations in NYC pre-operations and we hear how it's so much easier to run a business than to be a Mom. 063: How to redefine your life to invoke your passion w/Theodora Miller, Abstract Artist

When is it that we take inventory of our lives and decide how we're living? There's no better time than now as we speak with Theodora Miller, who has reclaimed her passion as an Abstract Artist after two decades successfully navigating the financial services world.
This week we dive into conversation about designing the life we want to live and not putting our desires on hold because of X or for Y amount of time. Theodora invites us into her quest to examine her purpose, explore her creativity, implement mindfulness exercises, and own her position as an artist. We discuss the pressures to materialistically "succeed" in our society and the inevitable soul sacrifices we sometimes make to achieve external goals, while we acknowledge various seasons of life and assess how to give time back to ourselves.
Listen as Theodora urges us to embrace our imperfections, make time for the things we love and have the courage to follow our passions, because: why not?! We remember that life is a series of choices and we are empowered to examine what we truly want.

062: How to reconnect to your joy within your chosen profession w/Dr. Janet West, Founder of RVA Baby

062: How to reconnect to your joy within your chosen profession w/Dr. Janet West, Founder of RVA Baby

In this day and age of public systems failing those served, we are fortunate enough to hear from a woman who is creating more light in the medical world. This week we hear from Dr. Janet West, a Richmond, VA pediatrician and the founder of RVA Baby. RVA Baby is a comprehensive holistic newborn care practice designed to support families after they welcome a new baby into their family.
Having practiced military medicine, worked as a hospitalist, and achieved an MBA with ambitions to run various hospitals, Dr. West speaks to her WHY as to create her own business. We learn it is not only patients frustrated with the current medical system, but most bottom-line run medical offices cheat practitioners out of practicing medicine in the ways that they'd hoped. Rather than leaving the field, Dr. West tells us she thought about what it was about medicine that she loved and pondered how she could make healthcare delivery more family friendly; thus, creating RVA Baby.
Dr. West walks us through her process to set up her business design, while normalizing newborn challenges for mamas and families. In addition to discussing rates, affordability, self-worth, and defining success, we also learn what holistic care can look like, how natural remedies can solve problems, and what the benefits are of having a pediatrician come to you in your first few months of postpartum. We are both inspired and educated by our conversation with Dr. West and are hopeful more medical doctors will create opportunities to make their practices more patient-friendly!

This week we welcome Katie Painter, doula, childbirth educator, and prenatal fitness guru to debunk all things birth-related.
