Publisher Description

In this pulse-pounding novel from the bestselling author of Butterfly Dreams, a vigilante hacker plays a seductive game with the agent who’s chasing her online—and sharing her bed in real life.

At first glance, I’m nothing out of the ordinary. I am a daughter. A sister. A friend. When you look at me you won’t see anything that warrants suspicion. I don’t look like a criminal.

My name is Hannah Whalen, but most people know me as freed0mov3rdr1v3, or “Freedom Overdrive”—one of the world’s most prolific and notorious hacktivists. My goal—my purpose—is to shed light on the evil that lurks behind the corporate and government lies we have been force-fed for too long.

My story begins with the best possible intention. Devoting my life to exposing the corrupt. The dishonest. The unethical. For that, they label me a cyber-terrorist. Wanted by the FBI, I’ve always been one step ahead.

Until I fell in love.

Because I’m sleeping with the man who’s hunting me. And he has no idea that I am his prey. Now I have to decide what’s more important: my freedom or my heart.

Note: Exploited ends on a cliffhanger. Hannah’s story continues in Aftermath.

Exploited is a story of a woman’s journey in righting the wrongs. . . . I think cyber related stories are interesting due to the character’s life in two different worlds. I was intrigued by this duality and excited to dive into this one.”—Warhawke’s Vault Book Blog

Great story

Hannah has a huge secret. Mason is someone she needs to get to know. Mason has issues with trust. Hannah has issues with letting anyone get close. They make for one interesting intense couple. Loved the twists in this story. Could not wait to see what would happen next. Can't wait for the next book.

Hannah was the Super IT Girl...the caped crusader...fighting crime in the coded world.

Exploited was about vigilante hacker Hannah who spent her time behind a computer chasing criminals that lurked behind the corporate and government lies.

The main characters were Mason and Hannah. Story's told in alternating point of views. Both characters were hiding a secret that defined who they currently were.
This secret motivated them and gave their lives purpose. Hannah was committed and motivated by her hacking abilities.

Mason worked for the FBI and was transferred from DC to the Richmond office to work the cybercrime unit. Mason moved to Richmond six months ago leaving behind a sick mother and an angry father. Mason's new boss had an issue with him, therefore assigning him the least important cases. Mason was hoping to work a high profile case to get recognition for a promotion.

Hannah pursued Mason knowing he was hunting her. Agent Kohler struggled to turn off the detective in him always reading body language and words. With Hannah he wanted to disconnect and have fun. They had a great connection despite Hannah's motives. The unconventional connection with the emotional turmoil of guilt made for a heart throbbing read.

The story was exciting with the edginess of danger with Hannah's character crossing the line from safe to daring. The cyber world was interesting without it bogging down the story with too much computer technicality. I'm by no means a computer geek, so I can't question the validity of the information used. It served its purpose by arousing my interest enough to keep me focused on the matter at hand. Walters did a great job adding layer upon layers while building the growth of the characters without compromising the story. These characters were complexly developed getting under your skin making it hard not to get attached. Whatever problems they had made it hard not to react. I began to understand too much and wanted the circumstances of their choices to bring about a positive outcome. The more I read the more invested I became in both characters and reading about their cause had me on pins and needles. The story had a hint of mystery with all the added characters increasing the odds of suspect-ability. Even with all the buzzing activity of the layers the story was exciting. I felt like a detective trying to solve the crime of "a who did it". The story encompassed more than Hannah's hacking skills by growing into something bigger.

“The exploits were daring and dangerous..."Quote from Hannah the hacker exploiting criminals.

Interesting story of a hacker & an FBI agent. I really enjoyed this story. Hannah has lost so much and now wants revenge. Mason has too find a hacker that no one can ever find. Mason & Hannah are amazing together and both of their loses will pull at your heartstrings. I can't wait to read the next book in this series because the ending is killing me, I need to know what is going too happen between Hannah & Mason
