Israeli duo Lola Marsh intrigued indie audiences with their teaser EP You’re Mine in 2016, and a year later they bring Remember Roses—a full-length debut that's every bit as passionate, intricate and nostalgic. Yael Shoshana Cohen’s full-bodied, Lana Del Rey-ish vocals turn sweet and playful over buoyant whistling, guitar and ukulele on "Wishing Girl", while they go deep and dramatic over the rich, fluttering arrangements of "She’s a Rainbow". Elsewhere, the delicate folk intimacy of "In Good Times" contrasts sensual and enigmatic “Sirens”, conjuring up fantastical images before swirling in a maelstrom of emotion.
