Daniel Ögren

About Daniel Ögren

Daniel Ögren's lush, playful music has roots in South American and Nordic folk music, exotica, psychedelic pop, and film scores, among many other genres, but remains ever-evolving and hard to pin down. The Swedish producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist has worked extensively with Anna von Hausswolff and other Scandinavian artists such as the Mary Onettes and Sven Wunder. He released his first album, Laponia, in 2011, and has since issued several limited cassettes and LPs. 2020's Fastingen-92 featured the instantly familiar-sounding "Idag," sung by Anna Ahnlund. The two formed a band called Dina Ögon and released their self-titled debut in 2021, followed by Oas in 2023.
