Though only bassist Tatsu Mikami remains from their original ’90s lineup, these Tokyo doomsters are still single-mindedly obsessed with mass killings of all kinds. This 2016 set includes remembrances of a murderous 1870s Kansas family (eight-minute acid-blues trudge “The Hell Benders”); a British physician who sacrificed his patients (“Doctor Death,” complete with sampled BBC reporting); the extraterrestrially deluded Heaven’s Gate cult (space-rock interlude “Suicide Journey”); and four more tragedies—all set to a wealth of Sabbath-gone-psych riffs, continually digging their own graves.
