About M.O

Formed in 2012 by Frankee Connolly, Annie Ashcroft and Nadine Samuels, M.O blend an appreciation of ’90s pop and R&B with an affinity for girl bands. They debuted with a cover of Brandy and Monica’s “The Boy Is Mine”, and two years later, they released their first single, the brassy, Jess Glynne-written “For a Minute”. In 2016, M.O released two EPs, Good Friends and Who Do You Think Of?, with the title track of the latter becoming a big hit. Connolly left the group the following year and was replaced by X Factor contestant Chanal Benjilali; soon after, they reached the charts again with the dancehall-tinged Mr. Eazi collab “Bad Vibe”. The 2020 EP Modus Operandi reunited M.O with Mr. Eazi on the track “Going Out of My Way”. In late 2020 Samuels left the group, Ashcroft and Benjilali continuing as a duo.
