Publisher Description
Someone is murdering humans on the Ripple Creek Werewolf Reservation, and the murders are eerily similar to those Chief Ranger Savannah Grant witnessed nearly ten years ago. Having once had the reputation for being the wild sister, it seems her past has come back to haunt her. Worse still, the man sent in to help with the investigation is the one man Savannah had hoped never to see again - the man who had taken her trust and her heart, and smashed them both.
Cade Jones is in Ripple Creek to catch the killer who escaped a decade ago. He doesn't expect to find the woman who nearly caused his death - a woman who knows far more than she'll ever let on. This time, Cade has every intention of discovering exactly what she does know. Soon it becomes clear that the murders are not random and Savannah finds herself having to trust the one man she'd sworn never to trust again.

Well written book with plot twists, murders, stalking and a romance
Continuing my mission to clear some of the books collecting dust on my shelves I’ve finally picked up this, the second of the Ripple Creek novels by Keri Arthur. I read the first exceptionally quickly and thoroughly enjoyed this more humane take on werewolves.
Beneath A Darkening Moon tells the story of Savannah Grant, the twin sister of Neva our protagonist in the first book. She is the Ripple Creek reservation head ranger and a string of murders are bringing some stark reminders of a life she thought she had left behind ten years ago.
To make matters worse, the people she has asked to help with the investigation have sent the one person she hoped she would never see again, the man that broke her heart right in the middle of all of that mess, Cade Jones.
This book is so well written and the plot twists with the murders, stalking, the investigation and the tangled web which Savannah, Cade and their teams have to walk to find the truth is brilliant and at times extremely tense.
Interwoven into this brilliant storyline in a extremely well-balanced way is the romantic story between Cade and Savannah which carries so much history and emotion. There are hopes for a future but fear because of the past and the feelings are very intensely wrought through the page.
I always find Keri Arthur’s books a pleasure to read, and this was no exception.
