A young swineherd who dreams of being a hero gets his chance when he is charged with protecting a clairvoyant pig who knows the whereabouts of a magical black cauldron. In the wrong hands, the cauldron is a source of dark and terrible power... and thus a must-have prize for the evil Horned King (voiced by John Hurt). Swords and sorcery abound in this animated epic, based on Lloyd Alexander's popular childrens' fantasy series The Chronicles of Prydain.
