Publisher Description
Before socialism was popular in American, it became fashionable in Europe. Yves Guyot (1843-1928) was a French economist, journalist, and politician. In this book, he shows how socialism is necessarily tyrannical. Socialism, he correctly noted, is the “substitution of State intervention for contract,” and “the suppression of the Law of Supply and Demand.” The book was published in France in 1893, and translated in English one year later.
