Jim Lawrie's 'Slacker Of The Year' is an early contender for my album of the year and Jim himself was gracious enough to drop by the studio last week to play three songs and chat about the process of writing and recording the record. One of my favourite interviews and sessions so far.

Liam Linley stops by the brand new Cuddleman studios (now a bedroom in Northcote) for the first episode of Season 3 of Radio Cuddleman. Liam performs three songs, including his debut single 'Soaking Cherries' as well as the title track of his upcoming EP 'In The Course Of Love'. We get deep into his songwriting process and his love of Robyn Hitchcock. It's a beautiful session and a real great time.

We've also joined a brand new podcast network called Ear Buds. More info at http://www.facebook.com/earbudsnetwork/

Various Asses is the new project from Raquel Solier. Our conversation took place back in September when she was in the final stage of completing her debut release "Loción", out now via Nice Music. Over the course of the following chat, we explore Raquel's reasoning for putting Fatti Frances in the retirement home, the creation of the new record and how motherhood has shaped her music-making, as well as the challenges she has faced as a female experimental artist.

Listen to the selections from our conversation with a few snippets from Locion (and a couple of earlier Fatti cuts), or listen to the. There's also a transcription over on http://cddlmn.com for your to read while you crank the new tape or explore Raquel's excellent back catalogue.

Life changing

This podcast convinced me to follow my dreams and pursue a career interviewing musicians. Now I'm broke and alone but that's what I get for stepping on the Cuddleman's turf. There's only one Cuddleman!
